Scholar Craft's 2800 Series is manufactured with a lift-lid book box constructed of heavy-duty, 20 gauge steel with rolled edges for added strength and safety. The writing surface is 18" x 24" and is attached with a full-width piano hinge. Two adjustable spring hinges and rubber bumper cushions assure safe, secure and quiet operation. Height is adjustable from 22" to 29" in 1" increments and the cross-braced, U-shaped 16-gauge legs are totally self-supporting.
